Businesses which plan to sponsor and manage visas for employees will have to keep the immigration card as an essential document. It is issued by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). An establishment card or company card is the other common name for this document. Important for employee recruitment or business expansion, it is also important for completing registration proceedings with the immigration authorities and other immigration-related transactions.
Business registration: The company registration process will have to be completed first by submitting all the important documents and securing a trade license from the Department of Economic Development (DED) or the free zone authority.
Any authorised centre can facilitate the submission of an application for an immigration card via the GDRFA website.
The applicant has to submit an application form, a copy of the trade license, copies of the passports of the owner and partners and a copy of the memorandum of Association (MoA).
As per the standing instructions of the authorities, the payment of the immigration card fee will have to be made. It may vary based on the nature of the business
After the review and approval, GDRFA issues the immigration card.
To ensure smooth business operation and compliance with the immigration laws in Dubai, renew the immigration card every year.
